VAM1252 -> SAA7372 -> 74HC257 -> DSP56004 -> 2x TDA1541A/S2
TDA1315 -> SM5844 -> 74HC257
Analogue
3x HDAM per channel. Two for the balanced output and for single ended.

Hi rfbrw!

If I use the CD7 in normal CD mode (44.1kHz 16bit), is the signal skips the DSP56004???

Which is the IC what divides the digital signal to L & R channel??

No. The 74HC257 is used to switch between the CD and the incoming SPDIF stream.

What is the recommemded upgarde for CD7?
The clock?
Which freq.?
What is the exact CDM type in CD7?
VAU1254/21 or /31? (like in the CD-Pro2M)

Have you the serivice manual?

My cd7 is "only" less than 3 yrs, but I'd like to stock one CDM for spare for the future

Default atrocity!!!

I checked the serivce manual, and found two EL.CAPS on output signal !!!

I guess this is an atrocity!!!

Why did the designer like this???

new clock for the 44,1 line......

and if you can afford - black gate bg-N allover the dacboard.........
