a new CD-player in the horizon

My old modified Yamaha CDX-590 starts to lag behind, so i´ve decided to find me another CDP, i just wonder, will the Cambridge D300SE be a good choice if my budget reaches a maximum of
300$ and no more?
or should i go looking for something else?
if you have one of those, your comments about it?

If the optic looks Good why don't you try to crack it, for US$ 300, perhaps you can make a good DAC or upgrade it, is this forum use for?
