Hi
The combo mini jacks/optical receivers popular on laptops and portable equipment...I want to use one on a DAC for SPDIF inputs. Because only a "coax" cable or an optical cable can be plugged into the jack at one time, would it be ok to connect the output of the optical receiver and the electrical contacts of the jack together so I don't need an input switch? What problems could this possibly create when the "coax" input is being used? |
