Hi Guys,
recently i got an early SONY ES series CD player, CDP-501ES. You, who owns this player, will agree with me that this player is wonderful, technically and sonically. However I would like to ask if you would trade this CD player for an newer ES CD player? Please give a reason. Have you had any chance to compare this one with the newer ES CD player? My opinion is, as I have a CDP-X559ES, I don't like the sound of HIGH DENSITY LINEAR CONVERTER, the impression is a cold, inexpressive sound, even the bass is not as punchy as the 501ES. If I can, I would trade this for a 701ES, of course i know this is not an even case. Please give your comment, thanks other photos are found on this page: www.geocities.com/wmincy
