I don't think You can do anything to improve sensitivity at the tuner.
What would work, is to add a proper antenna, but the reason they don't add that in the first place is, that noone wants to carry around a quarter wave antenna. ~75cm. Best regards Ebbe |

what is the ic? can somebody tell me? there is no any datasheet for the fm reciever ic 9302 5017.
Another interesting matter, whan my DAP got coruppted, then I ook it to the service center. before that the FM IC was an IC from philips. but the service center replaced the ic with this. this may be a pirated one. Also after there service the fm reception lowered a bit. is there really no way to recover, how i could connect a antena with it. Any help? |

Are you running this with the headphones plugged in? A lot of devices use the screen in the lead as an antenna.

Move closer to the transmitter
or fit a proper yagi with real gain compared to the whips and phones screens.

But a 2, 3 or 4 element yagi is quite difficult to keep aligned if you're using a portable.
And it will certainly slow down your running!
