I don't think You can do anything to improve sensitivity at the tuner.
What would work, is to add a proper antenna, but the reason they don't add that in the first place is, that noone wants to carry around a quarter wave antenna. ~75cm.

Best regards

what is the ic? can somebody tell me? there is no any datasheet for the fm reciever ic 9302 5017.

Another interesting matter, whan my DAP got coruppted, then I ook it to the service center. before that the FM IC was an IC from philips. but the service center replaced the ic with this. this may be a pirated one. Also after there service the fm reception lowered a bit. is there really no way to recover, how i could connect a antena with it.

Any help?

Are you running this with the headphones plugged in? A lot of devices use the screen in the lead as an antenna.

Move closer to the transmitter
or fit a proper yagi with real gain compared to the whips and phones screens.

But a 2, 3 or 4 element yagi is quite difficult to keep aligned if you're using a portable.
And it will certainly slow down your running!

Well, 55 km is quite long distance in FM range, and above a certain distance the field strangth is not proportional to the transmit power. You simply won't get better reception of an 1 kW transmitter than a 10 W. Try this with a normal FM tuner, with a piece of 20 cm wire as antenna. This is about the same condition as the digital palyer. What you can receive with this, should play also well on the DP.
