I'm using RS423'ed I2S as well, but I only needed one hole for a 9 pin d-type socket.
I'm sure SPDIF can be implemented well, but it is a further coding conversion method that can be made redundant, so why not as there is a risk it can impact the signal quality? It also makes my DAC simpler, as I don't have to worry about implementing an SPDIF receiver. |
