I have a question about the Full Scale and Bipolar/Unipolar Zero error specifications for a typical ADC.

It seems like these errors "can be adjusted to zero by using an external potentiometer" as indicated in (3) (4) and (5) of the footnotes on Page 3 -> http://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/ads8507 .

Are these specifications nothing but representative of the Input Offset Voltage of the comparator opamp used in the ADC ?

And by specifying that they can be adjusted to zero, does it mean this input offset voltage and be brought down to zero using outboard adjustable resistors ?

TiA!
