Laser pickup adjustment on Accuphase CD player

Before attempting to change the laser pickup for my 13 year old CDP I am seeking help/advice from experienced members here. Any input will be appreciated.

The CDP is an Accuphase DP-65 using a Sony KSS-272A pickup, a Sony CXA1372 and CXD2500 as servo amp and processor. On board aside the 1372 there is a 22K trimpot linking to the TE pin and another 22K trimpot linking to the FE pin of the 1372. I have a DMM and a 200MHz DSO handy but adjusting laser pickups are completely something new to me, not having a clue on things like proper settings on the DSO, testpoints for connection and adjustment goals to go after ¡K.. etc. Please help as I really hate to damage anything.
