Another California Audio Labs CL-5 Question

Does anyone know what kind of laser assembly is used in the CAL CL-5 CD changer? I've seen a few posts referring to it as a Matsushita, but no further info. I'd like to try to find a replacement myself since the Approved Audio Service wants $350 to replace it.

most were upgraded Matsushita transports. "Apparently" CAL pieces used a glass optical system, while most Technics/Panasonic used plastic.
