DAC module for CDM7

Hi all,

I've an integrated CD player AMC CDM7 with D5401 DAC Module (analog output).

I'm searching informations on D5403 DAC module (valve DAC) and if it's allways built. I haven't found any information on the web

I think it's the MD5403, and I'm also looking for one. And a new display, as the old one has failed. But since the company is no longer with us I think our task may be harder.

I'm not sure if any of the valve DACs would still be available, but you may be able to get hold of a second-hand CDM7 with it already in place. Also a possibility is the CDM6 which (I think) came with the same valve DAC as standard.

But here's hoping you hear of something...

P.S. Is your family originally from Abruzzo?

you're right, it's the MD5403. I'll look at 2nd hand market, may be I' ll be lucky...

My family is originally from Calenzana (Corsica, France).

I have tried (and failed) to find one. But not in France - maybe you will get lucky. If you happen to find 2, then please let me know - I believe I need to have one (even if I decide to prefer the original DAC).

And the other question was because my wife's family is from Abruzzo area in Italy, and their family name is Tiberi (and her brother is Michael - coincidence?).

Regarding your wife's brother, I'm not... Funny coincidence, Earth is a very small world...

Much too small (or not small enough...

).

If you can find 2 then that would be excellent - but I will not hold my breath.
