Hi All,
I have a CD650 which is not quite working and have the opportunity of acquiring a CD460. I was wondering how much these two machines have in common. From a search on this forum it would appear that they might have the drive and DAC in common. Can anyone confirm that they even use the same PCB(s)? Thanks for any help. Of course if someone could offer CD460 schematics that would be great! Thanks, Philip |

Yes, both use SAA7220+TDA1541(A) and CDM2 or early CDM4. The CD460 is more mature, but basically same as in CD650 (in which some running changes and bug fixes took place, though). Except for missing remote and much worse look. I replaced complete CDM2/10 in CD650 by CDM2/29 from CD460 without any problem. Even the laser setting was not necessary.
