Which Sony Laser For Arcam MCD
 

Hi. I have tried searching the net and this forum but to no avail.

Does anyone please know which laser was used in the Arcam MCD Multiplayer CD player?

Help will be very much appreciated.

Open the case up and have a look. Probably should be a KSS-something.

That's the problem. I don't have the player at hand to have a look at.

I am thinking of buying a machine that has a faulty laser and repairing it for my Brother.

That makes it hard to look at for sure.

I've checked my laser listings and nothing. Checked the sites I get my service manuals and nothing.

If it's a Sony transport then it's a good chance of being a KSS-240 or KSS-213 (later players) as they were used by a lot of manufacturers.
