Scrooling through a number of CDPs that employ PCM58 I noticed that the decoupling capacitors (4 pcs) have quite different values depending on the player manufacturer
The datasheet says that there is no special value requirement for those caps, but obviously they spare the exact info. Playing around with the decoupling caps values I could mention quite a different musical picture and scene Finally I got lost in the experiment and seriously suspect that the manufacturers had got on hand much more info on the caps values role than what it is given in the DAC pdf.Please, if anyone has more specific info on this topic, share it with me

a good electronican said me, that it depends on supply quality; so that way should be if better quality lower capacities? there are always electrolytic caps, maybe good idea is to use polypropylene caps, like with tda1541[a].
