To my fellow North Americans that like I, purchased the most recent Pedja TDA1541 DAC board. Where are you sourcing your main toroid transformer? I contacted Plitron and they don't seem to be interested at all.

There was some discussion on the Yahoo TDA1541 DAC board regarding another small group buy for these a short time ago. I'm not sure what the status is on that. The original transformers were ordered from Antek in Europe, IIRC. I know one user who just used a few Amveco dual secondary torroids from Digikey for his. I lucked out and found an extra group buy transformer for mine (Rev. 1.1b). You could try Richard Sumner (www.sumr.com) or Victoria Magnetics and see if they would build one for you as well.

I don't know how many of the most recent revision Pedja has sold in North America but I would think it begs for another group buy.

Thanks Pars,
Sumner ended up being the perfect solution with a custom built toroid exactly to Pedja's specs for $58USD. Regards, Dan

Congrats! I figured it would run more like $100... that is pretty cheap.

No one here is talking about a group buy. Order one from Sumner...

If Pedja could tell us how many of the most recent PCBs sold in North America we might be able to organize a GB. Now would be the time.
