Can anyone give me some information about a cheap MP3 decoder chip with headphone or BTL output?
I know the VS1011 or similar from VLSI. I wonder if there are any other. Input should be SPI (not I2S) in order to connect it easily to a microcontroller. |

You can look at a STA013 with external DAC, but eventually I also ended up using the VS1011 for my mp3 player. It's pretty easy to control with a simple MCU.
