Hello there. My name is Mike B. My old Sony 60ES DAT deck is having a problem. After 13 years of lots of use I can't complain however I would still like to be able to use it. Just the other day I put a tape in it and it clearly did not load properly. Could not play, rewind,FF,REC,eject or anything. I took off the cover and managed to get the tape out by pulling on one of the black rubber bands on one of the pulleys inside the deck. Could this be a transport issue? Does anyone have a clue how to fix this? Thanks much for your time. Mike B

Rubber is most likely the keyword.
If you are not familiar with working on DAT mechanics, I would advise to take it to a good service station. /Hugo |
