This thread is HUGE!!!! but informative.
Marantz CD63 & CD67 mods list Check out the discrete output stage and servo clocking ideas. The improvements are incredible. The up-to-date mod list is on Ray's site (bottom of post 1) Andy

Some TDA1541A threads...
This TDA1541 thread has some useful bits on tweaking: TDA1541 info And whether you agree in the Direct Interpolation method in the next thread (I'm not too sure I'm convinced, but haven't tried it), there's lots of useful info on the TDA1541, arguments about NOS versus Oversampling, and all kinds of other stuff to form opinions about . With this thread, and the 1541 datasheet, I managed to build my first DAC, so a fairly good introduction to the chip at least:Building the ultimate NOS DAC using TDA1541A |

Forgive me if this is the wrong place or if I'm in over my head. I need to build a small circuit to convert TTL S/PDIF from a CD drive to a DAC (MF XACT) with coax S/PDIF input. I have a circuit diagram but need some basic infor on reading diagrams and building a simple circuit.
Is there a how-to basics thread? TIA lestertrad |
