Let's start the Ultimate NOS DAC Construction Thread:
I Received my DI16 OCB from ECDesigns (nice part indeed !) and started to build my UNOS Dac. The first step is the CD Player modification in order to extract I2S data. Mine is a Pioneer PD S-06. I installed a Sony to I2S converter connected to the CXD2507 chip. Output signals (WS,BCK,D) go thru a RS422 driver (AM26LS31) to the DAC. I think I'll use Super JUNG Regulators for the DAC analog supply. More to come... Cheers, J.P. |

Can you share your experience with the I2S and CXD2507 interface? - I am looking for the actual schema for the well working conversion for my Pioneer PD7700 and TDA1541 DAC
