Hi all,
Have this player and it doesnt recognise discs, theres a red message on the display that says "disc out." There a little pot on the laser, and 4 others labed vr1 (FEB) vr2 (TEB) vr3 (FE0) vr4 (TEG). I have no scope and before I go into nothing to loose mode, I thought I would ask if anyone knows what these pots do and if perhaps I can get this thing going again. thanks Arthur |

Hi Arthur
An inspired guess which you may already have thought of yourself! FEB = Focus bias TEB = Tracking bias FEO = Focus offset TEO = Tracking offset I would try adjusting the focus controls by a fraction either way and rebooting the machine in between tries. I have revived several cd players this way Andy

Thanks Andy,
Thats well worth a try. Ive only ever played with marantz and philips players, they have no pots so its all new to me. Any idea what the pot on the laser is then? I think its a ks2210 or something, sony laser. cheers Arthur |
