Hi
Is anyone aware of a review outlining the different characteristics of the various low jitter clocks that are available? What are your preferences? I am currently outputing a spdif signal from cd63 to a Monica2 nos DAC, which does have some reclocking. I have come across these companies on the web: Tent Labs Trichord Research Audiocom International Are there any others that I should look at? As ever, I am looking for the best bang for buck, and I am not looking at spending much more than £100. Thanks in advance. |

Are you handy with a soldering iron? If so, you could build a Kwak clock for about £30 - with reasonable components.

You should be able to search the forum here. There is one thread where Elso posted a link to the schematic.
I've built three now, and they seem to work well. The first one I built went into my CD63, and it made an improvement. Where would you put the clock, in the CDP or the DAC? Don't get me wrong, there may well be better clocks out there. One day, I would like to investigate the merits of other clocks, but this one works well for me. |

RFBRW: I had looked at quite a few of these threads, but thank you for spending the time to put this useful list togther.
Maybe I should start a new thread. "What is you favourite mid-price clock kit and why?" This defines my earlier question better. |

In that case I'd go for this, the Tent XO or this, the Flea. Won't comment on sound, no common frame of reference. That aside, either option offers excellent value for the money. |
