Repair of cd-player

I have made a mistake! Well, probably...
I was so kind that i have took my mothers Aiwa radio-cd-tapre recorder to clean it inside-out. Well, after that the cd wont read cd-r! It was doing fine before and it did not had any problem reading any kind of cd-s. Now it reads only originals. What might be the fault? The lens is clean.
When i put cd, player trys 3 times to start spinning the disc but stops after it.
The thing is that the same model she has on work which works fine, and reads every kind of cd, including cd-r.... That one i have not "cleaned"
Both units were bought in a same store within 1 month.
