DEQ 2496 Remote Controll (under construction by myself)

Hi, im new to this forum. I recently purchased a used DEQ2496 V1.4 and I am using it in a live sound application. It works really well. I also tried Seomans latest version on a laptop running Win 8.1 to try and control the DEQ. The software works fine reading and displaying the data from the DEQ. Its intermittant however when I try and control the DEQ.

I have a preset in the DEQ called "pre automatic eq setup". It basically zeroes out the GEQ sliders, turns on the pink noise, and sends the external microphone to the RTA display.

Seomans software sees and lets me load the preset, but it may or may not turn on the pink noise. Its intermittant. Not sure what to do to fix it.

The only thing thats odd is when I initially search for the DEQ (set to MIDI channel 1), the search returns the channel as 0.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi All

I see a lot of issues with all the version.
By mail i even got a request for a W98 version.

I'm moving to new servers so my mail will change.

I'll try to watch this thread more often.
Cause the forum on my site was hacked by some pharmacy criminals who spammed it completely full with viagra and other dumb sh*t.

I still have no future plans for the software or updates. I don't even use my DEQ2496 anymore so I lost interest. But Since you all like it i'll try to give some support.

Since delphi and windows versions (and service packs) is a hell of a mess. I also will put all the versions on the website so you don't have to run a W7 program on XP or viceversa.

I also have to thank you all !! The software is about ten years old now and i never suspected it to be used by others
But here you all are and for 10 years!!!

Hi. I've just found your DEQ2496 remote soft which looks great but I can't get it to work on a win10 64 pc. I only get T. when I try to communicate. Has anyone had success with win10? There's a few versions- are any compatiable? Many thanks

New Tool for DEQ2496

Hello,
welcome to my new tool for the Behringer DEQ-2496.
I love this gadget but turning knobs and pressing small buttons is not what I
like.
So I decided do create DEQ2496-Control because Simon Rhode (seoman)
stops his project DEQ2496-Remote. I've tested my Tool up to Windows 7 64
bits.
DEQ2496-Control is tailored to my personal needs. May be that I expand the
functionality in the future but everything I need is working.
You can use it free of charge. Use it on your own risks.

Yes this is a starting point but needs a PC server running

Ideally it should be a standalone Android app that connects via Bluetooth to the dcx.
I have already connected my dcx to my laptop via Bluetooth module(cheap ebay ones) and control it via the beringher control program

Known Issues in Windows 10:
I've installed Windows 10 last month and i found several issues regardings MIDI and Windows 10:



1. The Class-Compilant-Drivers has been changed in serveral Windows 10 versions. My development system is running 20H2.
I've tested several MIDI-Interfaces. The cheapesd you can buy Online is not working in general. I've bought one for testing but it doesn't connect to anything! There are also Asmuse MIDI Kabel to USB 2.0. This is also not working! It uses the same chipset.


The best results can you get with PRODIPE Interfaces. I've tested the old and new version. Both are working very well!

I've also tested the MidiLink Mini Interface, but Windows7 / 10 has trouble to recognize it correctly when other USB-Devices are pluged in. But if it is runnging, it works well also.

2. HYPER-V is a big issue. NO 32Bit Midi-Software is working with HYPER-V once activated.
This is because Windows 10 itself is then running in a virtual enviroment.

I verified the problem in Firmware 2.5. It seems to affect ONLY the Stereo-Link Mode (Attack Time/Release Time/Frequency) in Dual Mono everything is working fine. I try to figure out why it is not working. Thanks.
