It's time to me to build my first DAC from scratch!

Question is simple:

1) I want to build my first DAC, so project should be quite easy so using Spdif input and simple soldering (breadboard and SOIC to DIP adapters)

2) I'm listening only to wav/flac 16bit/44KHz

3) I will use OPAMP IV stage anyway (don't ask me why... :D)

4) After looking to many DIY DAC schemes and, overall, nowadays component availability, I'm going to choose or CS8412+TDA1543 or CS8412+PCM1710.

I know the sound of PCM1710, as I have in my CD player, it sounds great thus I can replicate it: no risk.

But I see tons of TDA1543 projects, all enthusiasts, but belonging to 10 years ago...

Are these still "sonically" valid nowadays?

What do you suggest to choose (from an "audio point of view") for point 4 if I maintain the same IV analog buffer filter for both? See below possible schemes:

A) CS8412+PCM1710
PCM1710 schema

B) CS8412+TDA1543 (may be put some in parallel)
