Default Which one of those ttl are best as non-inverting buffer ?

Hello

I have few 74AC04RC and 74HCT244 (I could connect two 74AC04RC in serial to get a non-inverting buffer)

Which one are best as non-inverting buffer ?

Thank

Bye

Gaetan

'Best' depends on what you're wanting to do - drive some I2S lines perhaps? In which case I prefer HC(T) to AC as it has lower ground bounce.

Hello

Yes, it's to drive some I2S lines.

Btw, Is it a good ideas to connect two 74AC04RC in serial to get a non-inverting buffer ?

Thank

Bye

Hello

Maby adding a low value resistor in serial with the ttl output would lower the ground bounce ?

Thank

When driving a light capacitive load (such as a single DAC chip) I doubt that a series resistor would make any difference to the ground bounce produced by an AC buffer. That's because it arises from cross-conduction not output loading.

Get on Mouser (etc.) and get the one with the least gate delay. I have been able to get my custom DAC with the serial 04 to 04 solution as you propose to run easy at 384 kHz using the ALS series. I have buffered the BCLK this way. (I have no use for MCLK in my setup - there may be a limit to buffering that.)

Hello

I know Mouser, but they would charge $ 25 of shipping because I'm in Canada.

Thank

Go with the HCT logic family assuming it's fast enough for your requirement.

Another non inverting buffer to consider is the SN54ALS1034 hex buffer. Nice and fast
