I see you flying the Indonesian flag. I am moving to Jakarta in a couple of months! Are there local meets? Are Sinar Baja drivers readily available locally for retail purchase?

If you already landed on Jakarta, easiest local meet will be on 2 primary high end diy parts store : Bella Audio and Wibowo Audio (both has their own website).

You can visit Sinar Baja showroom in Jakarta, details can be found here CONTACT US | ACR Speaker
btw those ACR brand is pro audio products from sinar baja

No harm going higher ratings for the trafo Clayton. Btw I don't recall current
consumption of the 3 vdd being so low. The chip runs hot ya & if your planning
for 2 X or 4 X parallel dac then better buy a higher rating trafo. There was a
suggestion by John of EC fame on going dual mono, now that ticks my brain.
Might try it some day. Right now have something else to fiddle with.
Would be great if we could meet up someday

Cheers

Summo J,

you have the calcul of the winding at the end of the YAYA II 2014 & DS edition : 6 VA seems ok for instance for each rail of the 5V if they were standalone trafos, at least 20 VA for the -15 V rail : my basic understanding...

Yep EI or R-Core trafo if possible, torrids if less beaming at also a higher bandwidth : not sure it's wanted for a DAC chip...

A portugese member asked for a little help to tweak his AYA, unfornatully he went back with torroid instead the EI of Audial... habits are persistent in audio !

Hi Luke,

My AYA for 2 sheeps :deer:

If you have asked me before I could have bring you at Selectronic for you, now they are closed ! Oups, too bad their R-Core were good !

Don't you have an EI traffo from Audial ? But before you should desolder some caps... they avoid your AYA to run like Magic Johnson !

Hey Eldam, there is no one in this country who cant source sheep for cheap. I have two neighbors on my culdesac whose parents own farms. On the next street, the neighbors parents own a farm. My colleague owns a farm and so it goes. There are 80 million sheep, 4 million people, so its an easy trade for me:)

I never used Selectronic, but it is always sad to see cottage industry companies fail.

I bought the torroid, only because it will fit in the small box I need. I always thought R-Core was better than EI?

:D ...tell me when a farm is for sell, french are specialists for being sheared ! We are in polling period to change our farmers till next week !

Well, I don't know, I imagine all is about the way the traffo is made ! an EI with a lot of iron is certainly better than a cheap R-Core ?

The Selectronics' were famous here to be good (sourced in India) and precise and many diyers from european countries checked it either...
