Default Cambridge audio D500se static popping noise on one channel

Hi
Can anyone help?
My Cambridge Audio D500se makes a static popping noise on one of the channels, the other is fine.
What is the likely cause?

No ideas?
Could this be a problem with the laser pick-up.

Just got a D500SE on my bench, first time. Judging by the parts used, the #1 most likely cause for popping in a channel would be failing electrolytic caps, as they used very crappy brands. 2nd most likely is simply a bad NE5532 opamp chip. 3rd & almost certainly only other possibility is a bad channel in the CS4391 dac chip.
Absolutely can not be a laser issue. That would always affect both channels.

Hi Stephen
Thanks for your reply.
Please could you suggest which caps to replace, and with what?
I am not sure about the general rules about upgrading/replacing caps. I know that the voltage needs to be the same or higher. What about the capacitance?
I have found 5x NE5532 in my spares box, but they are NE5532P and the ones in the CDP are NE5532N. Problem? I can soon buy some more.
