Default Can I borrow some Rhopoint & TX2575 resistors?

Hi all,

I hope one of you - or maybe more of you - can help with this ...

As it is I'd like to try out the Rhopoint resistors (series 5G10; 8G16 and GG102 "squaristor"), as well as Vishay's (Texas Components') TX2575 "nude" resistor.

However, these resistors including shipment & handling from my perspective are pretty expensive so if there's a chance I can borrow them from one/some of the diy'ers here I'd be most pleased to do so ...

I won't be soldering on them, will take care of them, and basically just need to give them a listen against a reference. Values can be from ~ 100 ohms and up to about 1 kohms. I need 2 pieces of each.

I will of course pay shipment back and forth to Denmark (from Europe is preferred) and may pay a deposit should you like it so.

Thanks for any help you may be able to give,

Jesper

P.S.: Although I know this is a component question I took the liberty of posting it in this sub-forum because I've noticed that these resistors are often considered for I/V conversion. Hope it will be ok ...

Hi again,

One of you kindly has offered that I could borrow a couple of Rhopoint resistors so now that should be in place - might one of you be able to borrow me a couple of TX2575s as well?

Cheers,

Jesper

Many tried this before and Rhopoint always win vs the naked TX2575 with the TDA1541 in I/V like in serie at the output ! More natural without loss of resolution ! Vishays said to be too coldy and clinical but no musical !

Maybe you will find you prefer the Vishays ! Some like Peter prefered some other Bulk foil but not the TX2575 ! ANd also try many exotic resitors !

two cents.

Hi Eldam,

Thanks for your comments (two cents) ;-)

As it is I've already tried the S102s and find that in some respects they are actually very good. And I just tend to prefer to "shape" my own experiences when it comes to listening & comparing the various options available. So I'd still like to try out a couple of TX2575s ...

I'm not sure I know who Peter is ... ? Maybe you can post a link to his listening experiences if there is such a link?

Have a good evening,

Jesper

Daniels....

You should try "resistor" and some words as : best or i/v with the search engine : there is a long thread about it !

I think you are right to try by yourself but as here you involve also some diyers with parts, you can save time as you certainly find the same result as most of the diyers already found : Rhopoint wirewound (the three you talk about are the same, if you can hear a difference between those 3 Rhopoint :bravo !).

say us what the difference you will notice with notes during listening : it's always instructive !
