Default Budget FIR for PA system?

Hi,

I run a DCX2496 for PA and I would like to add FIR phase correction by using mini-dsp open drc with rephase.

I was thinking of using this roland mixer to feed the drc a s/pdif signal while using a usb to s/pdif converter to feed the mixer from a laptop for music playback.

M-16DX: 16-Channel Digital Mixer | Roland U.S.

What are the potential pitfalls of this setup?

Thanks for any input!
