Demian,
Is the following regulator a good one to use ?
Industry's lowest 1.0uV ultralow noise ADM7150ARDZ 3.3V regulator.

Keep in mind a precision oscillator has the dynamics of a wirewound resistor. Its power consumption should not change. If it is changing you have a serious problem and you will not have low phase noise. Keeping that in mind its important not to think of the supply for an oscillator the same way as a supply for an amp output stage. Batteries can be very low noise but the lowest noise I think is either Nicd or Alkaline. Its the internal impedance that is the dominant element but there are other effects as well. More here: http://www.mikrocontroller.net/attachment/100819/Measurement_of_Chemical_Battery_noise.pdf
I think the effort won't offer an improvement and will add hassle. My little regulator circuit noise is pretty much the voltage noise of the transistor, around .7 nV/rtHz. Paralleling can reduce that further but in practice is probably not going to yield a detectable difference.
ESR will not ensure low noise in this application. Some caps are quieter and have a higher ESR. The critical cap for the oscillator is C4 and 1 uF seems large. It needs to be self resonant above 25 MHz (50 MHz?). Good NPO caps are probably the best option at these frequencies. http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/40/ccog-243403.pdf The cap is actually part of the oscillator feedback loop in effect.
The last call
I would finalize crystals and PCB orders, but until now I received order form from 8 members only. Keep in mind that Laptech lead time is 8-9 weeks.
I attach the updated order form, that include TWTMC-DIL (adapter) pcb.
You can find more info in posts #265, #308 and #332.
I ask all to send me the filled order form within a few days:
- download the attached spreadsheet
- rename it as your diyaudio alias _ TWTMC_OrderForm (for example andrea_mori_TWTMC_OrderForm.xls)
- fill all the requested data
- send it to my email address (see spreadsheet)
Thanks
Happy new year

Ian's Dual clock board users
For those who want use TWTMC boards with Ian's dual XO clock board, I attach two images that describe two possible options:
- Option 1: TWTMC-C (XOs) soldered to TWTMC-D&D (daughter board) using pin strips; Master clock from TWTMC-C (XOs) to TWTMC-DIL (adapter boards) using u.fl or SMA cables as short as possible
- Option 2: TWTMC-C (XOs) soldered to TWTMC-DIL (adapter boards) using pin strips; power supply (+15V, +3V3, Gnd) from TWTMC-D&D (daughter board) to TWTMC-C (XIs) using wires as short as possible

Can you foresee any performance difference? O2 seems less complicated and I would prefer this if it would fit physically. O2 could be better whit shorter clock-lines but power feeding is further away and could pick up noise etc...

Probably I would follow the first option, using SMA cables.
Reminder
I have splitted the list in two separate parts: the first one includes crystals frequencies with reached MOQ; the second one collects the frequencies where the MOQ is not yet reached.
I have also updated the list according to the order form I received until now, if there were differences (I use the list as a reminder).
I added 3 x 5.6448 MHz, so the MOQ is reached (15 pcs).
Maybe, someone could appear in both list, due to the required crystal frequencies.
I'm counting 5 x 16.9344 MHz (MOQ 10 pcs), 6 x 90.3168 MHz and 6 x 98.304 MHz (MOQ 15 pcs). If each MOQ will be reached in a week or so, these crystals could be ordered in the first batch.
Until now I have collected 23 order form, so half of the list.
So, please, send me the filled order form as soon as possible to finalize crystals and PCB orders.
Thanks.

We do that on the hotel also... and when we come back and forgett we add a star again, etc... sax that in a little hotel in Paris... Le Crillon something...😀; I like also the painting tag ! no to forgot: a little spray of blue or red... we do that also on our flags here !
A red star putted by Korben himself in front of the members who confirmed to him ? To allow also more confort for Andrea !
So, how should I read the list when I "ordered" from Corben69?
//
Phil provides the assembly service only, for crystals and PCBs you have to send me my order form.
I'll arrange a combined shipping to Phil, including all crystals and PCBs for all the user requesting the assembly service.
Maybe some have difficulty with Excel on their Mac as well ? Is there not a compatibility soft into Mac OS X to read it AND write in it (macro ?)
OK, so I order boards and crystals from you but put Phil as the shipping adress... ?
//
Yes, address is not relevant in this case, simply you have to answer "Yes" to the question "Assembly service" in the order form.
And a link to your form again please...
It's not a link, it's a spreadsheet. Please, see post #362
For information, you can find the "TWTMC parts options & ASSEMBLY SERVICE"

Hi andrea_mori:
Can you please add me to the list? I'm not sure which separate parts I should put my name in 🙂. Just hope it's not too late.
I need:
1 x 90.3168 MHz
1 x 98.304 MHz
1 x 45.1584 MHz
1 x 49.152 MHz
4 x PCB
4 x daughter board
Any other gear, if it's possible.
Thank you so much and happy new year!
Ian
