I'm trying to use old SL-P212 as DAC, for test I have connected this DAC to I2S of UDA1334 of SB Live 5.1, but it worked only with clock from sound card, in this player XTAL is 38,8688MHz (dac chip has own oscillator), whether smaller frequency of MCLK will worsen signal quality?
Final plan is use CS8416 and connect DAC normally through SPDIF, is possible to insert 38,8688MHz clock into CS8416 (OMCK pin) instead of recovered clock?
