Borbely HB-DAC1704 V. 1.01
Hello,
Does anyone have a copy of the HB-DAC1704 V. 1.01 datasheet? I have lost my old copy somewhere and and cannot remember the SPDIF pin in configuration. Secondly, has Erno Borbely passed on? The website has been down for a long time, but I have seen no notices.... Best, Ben |

Thanks for the datasheet Gluca!
Much appreciated - unfortunately it is the Mk 2 version, whereas I have the Mk 1 version with very different (and unmarked) pin layout  As to the sound of the DAC it as ever is highly dependent on PS and IV stage, but I got it sounding good when I was using it. I have been using a DEQX digital crossover (with Jensen output transformers) for some time now, so it's quite different. I just found these parts sitting around, and thought I may be able to make a friend happy with a new DAC....also found a couple of Lundahl LL1674 trafos, so a passive I/V stage - ala Rakk DAC coming up Thanks again/ _Ben |
