Spdif Input and USB Input can be looped through. between Mainboards. and of course two poer supplies. than it become true double mono stereo
Did anyone ever try this? If so what was the impact on SQ?

Default DAC Boards

Shameless promotion but of potential interest to subscribers to this thread: I have some boards up for sale in Swap Meet.

no problem up to 15 volt is ok. more important is de minimum voltage of 11.5 Volt

Dear Doede,

Thx for feedback

But 15 is maximum? Problem: with lipo this is a little bit on the edge in both directions

3 cells have nominal 11.1V but charging end Voltage is ~ 12.5V
4 cells have nominal 14.8 but I think they will have something between 16V and 17V at fully charged.

So... good question what to do

Greetings

Christian

with 17 volts the 7810 on the DAC board will get a bit warmer, but it will still stay within limits

the 7810 will dissipate ~ 0,7 Watt at 17 volts

according to the datasheet the raise in temperature is 25 degrees per Watt, so it will be ok

Dear Doede,

Thank you for the feedback

"Just in case" i put 2 diodes in series to the battery. This makes sure, that the Coltage will stay below 16v!

Works pretty good... and i don't hear any bad thing about it

Will try to play with some capacitors on the 12v input... will let you know the results

Greetings

Christian

I did try searching but came up with nothing. Can you point me to it?

Volumio.org and a Raspberry Pi will get you very far. If you need top notch I2S output, add a reclocker such as the Kali.
