IR Receiver Issue
1 Attachment(s)
I have cobbled together a Arduino setup to control my stereo system, this will eventually form a DAC/Preamp using my BIII.
The issue I have is that the IR receiver doesn't always respond. At one point (weeks ago) when it was not responding I tested the power to the IR receiver with my Multi meter & sure enough I had 5v as expected, I then tried the remote again & it worked. I didn't think anything of it at the time but I have done the same thing many times now (tested the IR power) & the receiver always works after I test it but not before, it's almost like the testing allows the volts to flow???? Does anyone know what is going on, is there something I can do to imitate this situation so the receiver always works. If it is just coincidence it's awfully reliable. As per the data sheet I have installed a resistor & a small capacitor, the capacitor is at the back of the receiver but you cannot see in the photo. |
