Hi Guys,
I d like to replace my Dacmagic dac by a DIY one that would ideally give better results. The dac will be mainly used for my Squeezebox Touch and I d like to stay around 200€ for this project. Would you say that at this budget, I ll be able to get something better than the cambridge? Cheers

ODAC? Only one USB-input but the performance is supposed to be good. And it comes at less than €200.

Forgot to say, the dac input has to be either coax or optical. USB output on squeezebox touch is not optimal.

check also this: Jundac Two, High-End NOS DAC Kit with PCM1704 up to 24bit/192KHz Nevertheless, although Cambridge Audio's DAC-Magic - predecessor from the top device about http://www.pieffeaudiovideo.com/medi...discmagic1.jpg - is clearly to beat regarded the sonic quality, it is not easy to beat. If you mean the new DAC-MAGIC about http://images.computeraudiophile.com...agic_front.jpg I am not sure, because I haven't heard. Last edited by tiefbassuebertr; 13th August 2012 at 01:07 PM. |
