New DIY DAC to replace my DacMagic
Hi Guys,
I d like to replace my Dacmagic dac by a DIY one that would ideally give better results. The dac will be mainly used for my Squeezebox Touch and I d like to stay around 200€ for this project. Would you say that at this budget, I ll be able to get something better than the cambridge? Cheers :) |
ODAC? Only one USB-input but the performance is supposed to be good. And it comes at less than €200.

Forgot to say, the dac input has to be either coax or optical. USB output on squeezebox touch is not optimal.

I've seen this one on eBay, anybody tried it?

check also this: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/junil...it-192khz.html Nevertheless, although Cambridge Audio's DAC-Magic - predecessor from the top device about http://www.pieffeaudiovideo.com/medi...discmagic1.jpg - is clearly to beat regarded the sonic quality, it is not easy to beat. If you mean the new DAC-MAGIC about http://images.computeraudiophile.com...agic_front.jpg I am not sure, because I haven't heard. |
I m indeed speaking about the new version (released 4-5years ago)
