looking for DAC

hello. can anyone suggest a good DAC kit/or PCB that has I2S input, descret outputs and not too expensive? (not buffalo)
this is going to be used as a internal DAC in my CD player. (DIY)

Don't know if it's accurate concerning discrete outputs, but have a look at the Opus from TPA. It could handle directly I2S input.
Be careful considering your CDPlayer fs rate, check your chip
From what I've read, fs must be 64... (FS = BCKI : Bit Clock / LRCI : Left-Right Clock)

Forget to mention that Opus works in "slave" mode, waiting for I2S clocking from I2S source.

hello opus use op amp outputs. and is out of stock
i was thinking of FDA-1 from fetaudio. but they are long gone. the new one is too big and a little expensive.
BTW. the CD drive is CDpro2.

opus or cod with legato I/V is an option

Nowadays I can't say that I dislike them.
After some projects and practice, those little bits are more friendly to me.
The way to go ; some usefull tools required for SMD : magnifying & flux.
A glass of white wine could be helpfull
(French tradition)

got some answers now. it will be the COD dac. OPUS can not be used with legato.
