SCR2496 LOCK ERROR
I hope someone can give me some direction here. I recently purchased a new DEQ2496 and a used SRC2496.
At first everything worked fine. But recently the SRC2496 has begun to NOT lock and of course either drop out completely or go back and forth with producing output.
I am using the same computer S/PDIF feed. Originally I was sending a 24/48 signal from my computer. When I changed to 24/96 I began to have syn lock problems. Going back to the lower sample rate seemed to help for a while.
If I connect the coax spdif from my computer to my W4S DAC-2 there is no syn problem. If I connect it to the DEQ2496 with and XLR adaptor the DEQ2496 also receives the digital input consistently. The SRC296 just blinks its red LOCK LED.
If I send the spdif to the QED2496 first and then connect the XLR digital out to the XLR digital in on the SCR2496 the LOCK LED still flashes continual and no input sample rate is displayed, BUT it will play from time to time with drop outs (muted output because of lack of LOCK).
HELP PLEASE! Any ideas? Is the SCR2496 failing?
Thanks in advance for any input. :)
It does sound like a problem with the SCR. I have the DEQ and DCX, but not the SRC so can't speak from experience on that unit. The DEQ is rock solid in and out, tho.
Hopefully, some SCR2496 owners can chime in here.
Thanks for the response. I will keep my fingers crossed.
Do you solve your problem? I have the same trouble :S
