Default ES9012 & ES9018 I2S input = half level analog output?

I use Buffalo II, and when I switch from digital source S\PDIF to I2S , the analog
output level drops half compared to S\PDIF. I use exaU2I and PCM2707.
A friend of mine with acko ES9012 DAC, with another exaU2I and PCM2707 has
same result. I removed firmware IC from Buffalo II, and nothing changed.
Is there anyone else who have same problem with ES9012\18?
May I ask if someone has dac with ES9012\18 and S\PDIF and I2S source,
to check analog output level?
There is nothing wrong with sound, the exaU2I is great device!
