I am planning to build my DAC with the following components:
1. Buffalo III
2. Ian's Asynchronous I2S FIFO with S/PDIF and dual clocks
3. Salas SSLV
4. Tube buffer (Still finding a good schematic)
I have the following question and should be grateful if someone can provide his advise or share his experience:
a) Can I use Ian's S/PDIF for the BIII instead of the 4 input S/PDIF board by TPA?
b) Is Ian's clock board provide better MCLK for BIII?
c) SSLV is good but generate lot of heat, is there any significant improvement to use SSLV instead of Placid?
d) Any good tube buffer recommend?
