Default Is it a good idea to start a DAC wih AK4399

Hello

I need advices .

Is it a good idea to start a DAC with the AK4399 ?

It seems that the analog section is better than the AK4396 .
The Channels Left and right are independant .....RefL ,RefR ,VssL,VssR

Stupid or why not

thanks

Serge

Me too

The project is progressing slowly

I check different solutions for the +5v ana with the AK4396 .
I noticed significant differences between for example an LM317, an LT1763 or a SALAS Shunt Reg .

To be continued

Interesting that it is a 5V only part and not a 3.3Vcompatable.

I thought so, that freaked me a bit as I thought I remembered it was just standard TTL, I guess he means the supply pins. i'm just looking at knocking up a design for a daughterboard for it to try. how are you going with your PCB?

I dont care for spdif, other than the inputs on the i2s/spdif fifo/master clock combo. so the build for mine will be pretty straight forward dac + supplies module, I have buffers I can use, so i'll be concentrating on the supplies/references
