Just ordered a Tascam US-144 interface. I currently have a PreSonus BlueTube mic pre (older blue version) that I was trying to get rid of thinking that I didn't need it, but it occurred to me that it might be a better quality preamp than what is in the Tascam. I can bypass the Tascam mic pre by using line in, correct? As far as which is better, does it just come down to testing, or are there any actual specs that would tell me what the better mic pre would be?
