Do you need a buffer after the outputs of the ES9023 DAC if you want to use a 10K pot at the DAC outputs to control the volume?
Going to use it as a source for my upcoming headamp with a 21K5 Ohm input impedance. Thinking about adding an OPA2134 unity gain buffer if it is needed. |

No you don't but you could have discussed that in the thread about your DAC. Better keep questions concerning more or less the same subject in one thread for readability. A lot of people search later for data and finding it scattered in various threads is difficult to follow.
Check the specs what the minimum load can be. The data sheet says 5 kOhm so a 10 kOhm potentiometer is OK but it is better to put out 2 V an adjust the volume on the amp. Less is more......
