I just hooked up a new system.
RME card to Panasonic DA7 digital mixing console. Spdif out from card to XLR on board The mixer has a switch for AES or spdif. The RME manual suggests XLR pin 2 to RCA tip, XLR pin 3 to rca sleeve and XLR pin 1 to shielding which is cut short of RCA. DA7 manual suggests RCA to a coaxial cable with RCA on one end XLR on the other. 2 being hot, pin 3 and 1 jumped together. Which is the best way? and what is the best cable to use? RCA end is the Spdif source. Thanks |
