Agreed. And all the little dots add up! I certainly use some dots that are smaller than this one.I consider it only as a small dot on the i .... but again, it is hobby, so.... 😛
I do have the space in my dedicated clock chassis. And I have a bunch of supercaps in the used parts bin, so your latest dot will no doubt one day make its way into my system. 🙂
SinePi makes the NewClassD Neutron Star2 Audio reference clock working great for FifoPi and ReclockPi. As well as all other sine clocks.
One of my favorite features of your FIFO lego set is the ease with which we can swap clocks. SinePi appears to take that up a notch.
@ Ian,
on the Cklass D website I can only find Neutron clock 3 ?
which frequency did you use for your tests?
@dddac
The Neutron Star 2 Audio Reference Clock 45.158400 MHz I'm using is here:
NewClassD NeutronStar2 45.1584

@wlowes,
I'm glad you like those features.
Indeed, I put a lot of design considerations when I developed the FifoPi and other gears. DIY and audiophile friendly are the main ideas. As well as flexible and extensible.

Hi Ian,
As a normal user, stationpi, receiverpi, fifopi-q2, reclockpi feeding a tda1541a, do I have any benefit from the sinepi?
Could I missed the posts where it is explained.l?
Maybe it's a stupid question, then let it go.

SinePi is a low jitter sine to square wave converter board. It makes sine output oscillators such as Neutron Star and TWTMC working with FifoPi and then DAC. If those sine oscillators are better than the local XOs you are using, then more improvements can be expected.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the explanation.

Out of DIY Office (Summer) 🎧
Great job on the SinePi! I'm in between projects so taking a break during the Summer from this site.
I'm All-In on the SinePi. If you don't hear from me, feel free to contact me if you need me to lock up a purchase to meet the quota.

Is there anyone who has compared the neutron star colpitts clock to an Andrea driscoll?
Ian have you compared them?
Ian have you compared them?
@Supersurfer
I'm still upgrading the SinePi design. Once I finish testing SinePi, I'll do the comparison test.

Neutron Star2 has a main high quality sine wave output in SMB coaxial cable connector though the built in sine to square converter output is not good enough.
SinePi makes the NewClassD Neutron Star2 Audio reference clock working great for FifoPi and ReclockPi. As well as all other sine clocks.
SincePi and Neutron Star2 can have three different configurations
1.One Neutron Start2 since clock
2.Two Neutron Start2 since clocks
3.One Neutron Start2 since clock and one local XO clock

WOW! Great success on NS2 clock! Do you like NS2 clock sound?

Hi Ian,
I updated the clock tests on the FiFoPi with the A123 battery pack and ultra cap bank

That's a really nice job. Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Just hope you get chance trying is monster to power your sine clocks, It won't disappoint you for sure.

Hello,
SO far no one has a clue about the cost of this item build with genuine parts.
So first i will try the Sinepi
Greetings,Eduard

You can bypass FifoPi if you can pick up the MCLK from USB for ReClockPi. Please also make sure clocks on that USB are good enough for sound quality.

SinePi V6.0
SinePi V6.0
SinePi is now had been upgraded to V6.0. Too many jobs involved to revise the design to optimize the performance. I’m busy working on the testing and measurement. Pretty promising so far.
SinePi V6.0 can be installed perfectly between FifoPi and ReClockPi. With the three nylon standoffs, SinePi will be mounted very solidly between FifoPi and ReClockPi.
Need to use the standard 13mm RPi standoffs for FifoPi and ReClopckPi.

Hello Ian,
Using these 3 stand off surely makes it look more solid
Probably there will be people who would like to give this tiny board its separate 3,3 volt.
Maybe there is something that can be done to make it more easily??
Greetings, eduard
