Emotiva Audio XDA-1 Digital-to-Analog Converter
uses the AD1955 and its internal volume control. Odds are the usb only handles 48khz. Uses socketed OPA2134 For the iv (dont know if it handles the gain stage) and then a discrete output stage. DAC Final Looks like its comparable to the pcm1794. I need something for a friend and dont have time to make him a dac, and this one is only $300 and has built in volume control. |

Take a look at the NFB2 and NFB3 Also An apparently very good DAC design, at a reasonable price. $450/ $350

The xda-1 is an impressive dac even in a costly high-end setup, last ones goes for $199
|
