I think WM8805 and DIR9001 are at same level, both have very low jitter. We will start with WM8805 first because I used this chip before and it's good. About 10VA PSU is ok for this DAC. And actually I'm thinking about a PSU for DAC, use a on board transformer, hope it will start at the end of this month.

...have you considered the module concept like what twisted pear is doing with their Buffalo III DAC? let users have the option of using their preferred PSU like
