Hello, and here's a question... What's involved in building a DAC?
AK4556 is the chip on which Roland's UA-1G is built. The chip itself is fairly cheap, so it looks like a USB DAC could be built. AK4556 though is not an "all-in-one" USB chipset, it's actually a "portable audio" chip. So it needs everything else - a USB controller (?), power supply adaptation from USB input, ADC line input, etc.
So... Mmm... Help? What else goes on a DAC board?
