What is your favorite of these two DACs

Hi, PCM63 is the better part,try to get the PCM63K .The K version
is the top quality QC part.It was used in high quality cd players long ago.

PS you need 2 pcm63 as they contain one dac each only I think and not stereo like most now.

PCM56 and PCM63 are very good chips. Global results depend on the environment: power supply, output stage, digital section, digital source...

If your project is cost and time sensitive, prefer PCM56.

With the PCM63, you can reach finest quality level if you build finest environment. A finest environment is an environment where you can exploit all DAC capabilities. This environment is more expensive and needs many hours of design.

Even with 16bit data, PCM63 is able to more refinement; reaching this high quality level is not free.
