Default Dual AD1865 balanced out DAC

I'm digging raindrop_hui's single AD1865N-K DAC board (modified of course) and recently found this offering on the bay:

DAC AD1865, AD1865 NOS 2.0 Balanced output - eBay (item 320643827034 end time Jan-26-11 09:05:22 PST)

Since I'm running a diff input amp it seems like a natural.

Has anyone given it a whirl yet?

Anyone out there try this yet? I'm interested too.
I've been looking at this thing for a while. I'm planning to use a pair of transformers for the output stage.
The biggest problem I've had is finding a power transformer with the right windings. The seller does carry one but it'd be an extra $50 to $60 with shipping.

Ok, looking at the datasheet for the AD1865 and it has both I and V out. I'll have to ask the seller which output this board uses. If it's using the V outs, then I'm going to pass.

It he was using the current outs then I bet he'd mention which opamp was doing I/V. He doesn't, so I think its V outputs.

He lists it as not including an analog stage.

I messaged him and he said it used I out.

I'm looking at using this as a dac for headphone amps so I can probably get away with a passive i/v with transformer setup. I won't need the voltage gain that you get with other topologies.

Hi,
I built like this, few years ago. 2x AD1865N-K as differential DAC, CS8412 DIR, LM4562 IV, with synchronous reclocking. I also built balance ECC82 preamp and 12AY7-E182CC-TZ40 PP amp, to match set with DAC. Sound really realistic and background very quiet.

I'm happy to share any information, if you're interesting.
Regards,
Art.
