I'm planning on building a DAC based on this.

The one thing that has been wondering is - the CS4397 has a ~ 2.5V output if you grab just one of the differential outputs (i.e., R- and L-). That's already above the 2.0V send to most amps.

What would the gain be of the Fetishizator circuit and what output level should I be aiming for?

Come on guys...at least a few comments before I dive elbow deep into my soldering station.

Will this setup deliver the clean vacuum tube sound it purports to? I realize a voltage divider will be needed at the input to drop the signal a bit and I'm following the modifications detailed in the guide (lampizator web site) for a high level, voltage input.

Hello !
I think this output stage was made for a TDA1541 (output current )
R2 100 Ohms is the load
May be you coud try JR Broskie Cathode follower ?

A real (for voltage DAC) Balanced to SE output stage ...Not tested ...

R.C.
